So What Is Up With This Fluffy Flower-Peonies

The show Gossip Girl was obsessed with them, I was obsessed with the show and now am also obsessed with Peonies

They look like if a couple of them were laid down somewhere and you fell elegantly over them, that you would have the softest landing as they look so fluffy and soft. Some interesting things I found out about peonies over the web:

They are ranked 12 in the list of wedding anniversary flowers, and if your bouquet contains peonies it is a symbol of good fortune and a happy marriage and we are all for that right.

They are known as the flower of riches and honor. Yes they are expensive to order too.

Their lush, full rounded bloom give a sign of prosperity and expresses romance. It’s funny how the same thing is said in African culture about a woman who is more curvy, that she shows more signs of being fertile.

They function well with plenty of potassium which help strengthen the stem.

Ants are attracted to peonies because of the nectar that forms on the outside of the flower buds. Well that’s not a very attractive attribute.

They grow in Asia, Southern Europe and Western North America.

According to wikepidea, “The peony is named after Paeon (also spelled Paean), a student of Asclepius, the Greek god of medicine and healing. Asclepius became jealous of his pupil; Zeus saved Paeon from the wrath of Asclepius by turning him into the peony flower. What an interesting take of how the flower may have come about.

Well that’s it for peonies, maybe one day I will get my hands on them just to touch them to see what they feel like and smell them because am curious to know what they smell like:P.
