Making Fried /Boiled tapioca a.k.a Muhogo cassava

Ingredients:

Tapioca/Muhogo cassava

water for boiling

Salt

This makes for a delicious satisfying breakfast, a snack, or it can be a great substitute for fries/chips

DIRECTIONS FOR BOILED TAPIOCA/MUHOGO CASSAVA:

Be careful not to drop tapioca when handling it or cutting it

Peel tapioca/muhogo cassava and cut it into desired pieces or shape

like making pasta, first boil water and add salt to taste

once water has boiled add tapioca

boil for 15 minutes or until soft(tapioca can be pierced with a fork).It is important to time how long to boil tapioca to prevent it from unraveling after boiling too long

drain tapioca

let it cool for a bit and ENJOY!

FRIED TAPIOCA/MUHOGO CASSAVA

Ingredients:

Boiled tapioca/Muhogo cassava                           Oil for frying

Take the boiled tapioca

drain out the water in a sieve

boil oil

once oil has boiled add the tapioca

when tapioca turns brown or golden, remove from oil onto paper towel

let it cool a bit, and ENJOY!
